When in Rome

This week we are in Romans 7 seeing what Paul has to say to the Christians living in Rome.

The beginning of this passage sees Paul using the illustration of marriage under the Law to demonstrate how the Law was once the husband of the Jewish people, but that has come to pass and Jesus is the new husband (and the Church is the bride).

In the latter half we see Paul states in the present tense “What a wretched man I am (v24). Even as a Christian, Paul still sinned; however, he was saved by grace through faith (as is offered to us.
