This week Richard gives us a message from Hebrews. We briefly cover what the author of Hebrews conveys throughout the book, and we take a closer look at the end of Hebrews 13. Hebrews 13 starts with an encouragement to do good, as some have welcomed angels without knowing it. In verses 15-19, we are […]
As we reach the end of another year, Richard brings a message about finishing strong. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians, one of his earliest letters, about training right to be able to run (and finish) the race. In 2 Timothy, one of his last letters, Paul writes about finishing his own race. He alludes back […]
This week we take a look at We Three Kings. Richard takes us to Matthew 2:1-12 where we look at the story of the Wise Men, or Magi, that came to see Jesus from the East. These men came from the East to worship the King of the Jews because they saw His star. However, […]
Mason brings us this week’s message, continuing in the Christmas Caroling series Richard started, and takes a look at O Holy Night this week. This song has a message of longing… and recognizing that Jesus is the light they have been waiting for. God did not wait for darkness to pass, He entered into it. […]
This week Richard takes a look at the carol O Come, O Come, Emmanuel and the scripture this relates to. This carol is an expression of longing for the Lord, as seen in the first verse where Israel is longing to be freed from captivity. In Matthew 1:18-25, Joseph is given a message from the […]
As we move into the Christmas season, Richard starts a new series, Christmas Caroling, where we will look at some popular carols and the scriptures they are based on. This week we take a look at Angels We Have Heard on High. We see this carol in Luke 2:8-20 where the angels appear to the […]
Richard wraps up a short series in Proverbs this week with a good reminder of how Christians should live. At the end of Proverbs 3, Solomon compares two types of people, those who act with righteousness and those that are wicked. In the world, it may look like the wicked have the better life/reward, but […]
Richard takes us through Proverbs 3 to see the next set of instruction Solomon had for his children. Solomon gives his children some instructions for a typical life, where you are to live a faithful life (including giving to the Lord). Richard talks about this instruction and what it means for believers today. Live to […]
Richard continues the series through Proverbs in chapter 2 this week, as we take a look at knowledge, wisdom, and the differences between the two. There is a clear difference between knowledge and wisdom, and we have all sorts of opportunities to apply it. Knowledge knows the right thing, but Wisdom does the right thing. […]
Mason brings a message this week where he addresses Mountain-Top Experiences. You know those experiences, where you are at a peak in your faith (or moment in life) and nothing can go wrong, until you have to come down from that mountain and face what is at the bottom. Jesus encountered some of these moments […]
