Mason continues the Broken but Chosen series this morning in Judges 6-7, where we look at Gideon’s story. Gideon was afraid, fearful, and spent his life in hiding; the Midianites had oppressed Israel for many years. Gideon was called to lead Israel in battle to a great victory, but Gideon constantly asked God for reassurance and confirmation. Gideon had amassed a large army for the battle, but God shrunk it down significantly; however, this was done to show that the victory truly came from God alone.

God is faithful when our faith is weak. God was faithful in Gideon’s fear.
