We start a new series as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season. This week we take a look at Mary & Joseph and their reaction to the news of who Jesus is and the reaction/response to the message. We specifically look at Joseph’s story in Matthew 1 and Mary’s story in Luke 1.

Richard covers Jesus as we wrap up Trinity and the Freshman Orientation series. We discuss the role of Jesus as the Son of God, the implications this title has, and the roles that Jesus plays. Richard focuses on two particular roles in this sermon, Jesus as the ransom for sin and as the judge.

Richard’s message this week focuses on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been working throughout creation and is still working today. We cover how the Spirit gives us God’s Word, shows us what is wrong, cleanses us, shows us what is right, and empowers us to do what is right.

This week Richard focuses on God the Father as we dive a little deeper into the Trinity that we reviewed last week. There are over 150 references to God as Father in the Bible so we don’t dive into all of them, but Richard pulls out the following four qualities: comforter, compassionate, provider of what […]

This week we take a look at the Trinity and the importance it plays in our faith. This is an important foundational piece of our faith. Richard walks us through the theology of the trinity and how to defend our belief in the Trinity. Richard guides us through Colossians 2, Acts 5, and John 8 […]

Last week Richard broke down what the Church is supposed to be; this week Richard takes us to John 17:20-26 to see what Jesus prayed about the Church. Jesus prayed for unity in the Church and, as a result, the Church unity should be evidence of the Lord and make His love known.

After setting some foundation over the past couple fo weeks, Richard tackles the Church and helping us understand what it really is and how we should really be looking at it. The Church is not a building, but a community of people and we all have different gifts that can be used for the Church.

This week in Freshman Orientation, Richard focuses on how we got our scripture in it’s current format and the difference between exegesis and eisegesis.

This week we have a special guest, Lori Bockting, bring us information about Operation Christmas Child as we kick of the drive to collect boxes.
