As we continue through 1 Thessalonians this week, we see Paul’s directions for sanctification in the beginning of chapter 4.
We first have to understand what sanctification is, which can be summed up as constantly becoming more Holy and striving to be like Jesus. Paul uses sexual impurity to impress the importance of sanctification upon the church at Thessalonica.
The you of today should look different than the you of yesterday and tomorrow. If you make a mistake today, tomorrow is the day to do it right and then build upon it.
