Mason concludes the Broken but Chosen series this morning looking at a man after God’s own heart, David. We set the stage this morning looking at David’s transgression with Bathsheba (the adultery, the coverup, and the murder of Uriah). But it doesn’t end there… Had it ended there, David would be remembered completely differently; however, the story continues in Psalm 51.

In Psalm 51, we study David’s response to the transgression and how he recognizes the problem in his own heart and asks for transformation in his heart. David’s hope wasn’t in his title, power, or wealth; his hope was in God’s mercy alone. God does not reject repentant people, he welcomes them.
