Richard starts us off in Joshua 1, where Joshua is called to be strong and courageous. Joshua is called after having been lead by Moses, the man who: saw the burning bush, lead the Israelites across the Red Sea, stood in the presence of God as He walked past, and brought down the Ten Commandments. Joshua had some big shoes to fill. Joshua 1 starts with a command for Joshua to be strong and courageous, and not to stray from the instruction he was given.

If you want to be a conqueror, you have to be courageous.
