Nathanael continues in the Homesick series this week in Richard’s absence. We jump to Daniel 9 to look at the prayer that Daniel prays. As we explore this prayer, Nathanael draws out three application points for us as Christians to apply to our prayer lives.
- Our prayers should align to God’s word. This looks like spending time in God’s word and aligning our prayers with God’s promises.
- We need to remove anything that can hinder our prayer lives. This looks like starting our prayers with a confession of sin and getting that burden off of our hearts.
- Be real, but be reverent. This looks like going to God on His mercy, not on our anger or thinking we deserve to have a prayer
