Richard continues taking us through The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5: 38-48, where Jesus discusses the Law and challenges what they have been taught their entire lives. Jesus calls His followers to respond in love, not vengeance and revenge, when confronted with attacks. Jesus also calls us to love and pray for our enemies.

In 2023, we often feel the need to respond in a like manner but these actions will not lead others to Christ. We should respond with the same grace, love, and mercy that was shown to us so they can see Christ in and through us.
